Spice Up Your Paint Night!

One thing I always encourage you to do is to try new things with your fluid art. There are so many different techniques to pour the paint onto canvases that you could spend years trying them all out and creating your own versions of the techniques. You can use special cups with your pour, such as split cups, or go to the dollar store and check out fun objects to pour with. Colanders and other interesting things can be used to create all sorts of effects. And, you can also apply a fluid paint pour to objects – like vases.

An acrylic paint fluid pour can be done on a vase?! Yes, it’s true. This form of art can be applied to many things and vases are some of them!

For a step-by-step introduction to this process, take a look at some YouTube vase pour videos I have created. Here is one of them, DIY Acrylic Pour on a Vase – Tree Ring Technique for Beginners. I have made several videos like this one and I encourage you to experiment with using a fluid pour to make a vase of yours super colorful and spectacular as well!

There is an added bonus to pouring on a vase. An acrylic pour on a vase uses a lot of paint. Since there is a lot that runs off, you place a canvas under the vase which catches the paint. This becomes a work of art of its own AND you then have a set! Check out my vase pour playlist on YouTube for more ideas!
