The Importance of Teaching Art

April 7, 2021 By //  by Mixed Media Girl

Wouldn’t the world be a better, saner place if there were more art?

My name is Marcy Ferro, also known as the Mixed Media Girl. I am a professional mixed media artist and teacher. I think the world needs more art. If everyone created some kind of art for an hour a day, can you imagine how much better the world would be?

I teach my crafts, mostly fluid art, in YouTube videos and in online classes (in-person classes are on hold right now during the pandemic). I fully understand that a person new to this art needs instruction at a level they can understand. I am fully motivated to help all of my students to be artists.

We’ve all heard the term “starving artist.” But, being an artist doesn’t have to mean poverty. I have a passion for helping other people thrive as artists. I believe an important part of teaching art is also teaching the business aspect of selling the art. If you are ready to sell your art, you should do my Fluid Art That Sells Course. This online course will take you to the next level.

If you’re not ready for the business side of art, that’s fine too. I have many YouTube instructional videos  to assist you when making fluid art. Also, you can join me on Facebook for one of my online classes. On the 30th of March, I will be hosting an FB online class called Swipe Mania Live Acrylic Paint Pour Class! These online events are a lot of fun and I hope you’ll join me.

Let’s create some art!
